Homepage (ResFac)
After logging into Salesforce, you will land on your Homepage. It is made up of several components:
Global Search: This is the “Google Search” of Salesforce which searches any and all areas of the database.
Personal Settings: You’ll rarely need to adjust your settings, but one common setting you can adjust here is your email signature line.
NavBar: Similar to Bookmarks on your internet browser, these are quick ways to navigate and search the database.
Homepage List View: This is the most prominent report displayed on the Homepage. Currently it is showing “My Open Cases.”
The columns displayed in the List view can be customized.
To prevent this List view from being too long on the Homepage, it will only show a max of 30 cases/rows. You can click the “My Open Cases (ResFac)” List View link which will take you to view all cases/rows in the Team Queue.
Tasks Block: If utilizing Case “Tasks,” this will display Tasks assigned to you. You can toggle between “Today,” “My Tasks,” “My Overdue Tasks,” and other Tasks lists.
Helpful Links: Links to other resources that may be helpful in your day-to-day work.
Dashboard Block: This section compiles custom reports that we want displayed on the Homepage.
This Dashboard Block does not automatically refresh, so to get the most up-to-date data, you need to click the “Refresh” button. If you click on any of the report links, though, you will get the most up-to-date data.
Everything in this Dashboard Block is customizable (ie: reports; displayed fields; report type; etc).
