Creating a Goal as a Supervisor via Employee's Snapshot
Supervisors can assign goals to their employees directly through the Snapshot page instead of using the Assignment option when creating a goal from your performance plan. We advise using the Assignment option when creating goals for your employees, but creating via the employee’s snapshot page will give the same result.
When creating a goal through an employee’s snapshot page, you are only able to assign the goal to a single employee at a time. If you are more interested in learning how the general Assignment option works, please visit this section of the Cornerstone Knowledgebase.
You can still use the Assignment option to assign a goal to one employee, it does not need to be used only for multiple employees.
Navigate to the Profile & Snapshot page from your Cornerstone home page.
Select the View Team button and select the employee that you wish to assign a new goal to.
You will be presented with your employee’s profile where you can then go into their Snapshot view, and select the Goals tile.
This will bring up your employee’s performance plan. Select the Create button.
The goal creation page will display. Build out the employee’s goal and select the Submit button. This will add the new goal to the employee’s performance plan.
You will not see the Assignment option since the new goal is only for the employee selected.
Creating Goals as an HRL
If you are an HR Liaison who has requested department-level permissions for goal assignment, please follow the standard steps for Creating a Goal and use the custom assignment option to send goals to employees in your department. For pushing goals out department-wide, review Pushing out Department-wide Goals (as an HR Liaison).
