You should already see the Core Competencies listed here. All employees will have core competencies added before the performance planning task is pushed to users.

If you choose to add goals inside the performance planning task, please ensure that all dates are in the CURRENT cycle. If this is not taken into consideration, the goals will be lost. Additionally, if you are editing/adding goals within the task, make sure that you are APPROVING the new goals within the task or the goals will be lost.
Supervisor Goal Planning Checklist & Supervisor Sign-off
The Supervisor Goal Planning Checklist page ensures that a plan has been created and a 1-on-1 discussion has occurred. Check the boxes for the following items:
Consider alignment of the Performance Plan with the supervisor/department objectives
Create goals, job duties, and competencies for the employee's performance plan
Meet with your employee to discuss their performance plan
Click Next.
On the Supervisor Sign-Off page, provide your signature and click Sign.
Click Submit when you are ready to send the performance plan to the reviewer.
A confirmation page will display. The performance plan has now been sent to the reviewer

At any step prior to submitting, you can use the Save and Exit button to save your changes and return to the task at a later time.
While this tasks ensures that a plan has been put in place, the plan can continue to be edited at anytime from the Performance Planning tile on the homepage.

If you would like the supervisor to edit the plan before signing off, follow instructions to reopen a step. Otherwise click the Save and Continue button.

From the overview screen, read the directions and click “Get Started.”
You now have the option to review and add to your plan. If you have any pre-existing goals and goals added by your supervisor that fall within the current review period date range they will show up here.

Discuss updates to goals, job duties, and competencies with your supervisor
Review the performance plan created by your supervisor
Edit your performance plan accordingly
Click Next.
On the Employee Acknowledgment page, provide your signature and click Sign.
Click Submit when you are ready to finalize the performance planning task.
A confirmation page will display. The performance plan is now in place, and both yourself and your supervisor will receive a notification that the planning task has been completed.
