Edit, Delete, or Cancel Goals

Edit Existing Goals

  1. Starting from the Cornerstone homepage, navigate to the page by clicking the Performance Planning tile or clicking the hamburger menu and selecting Performance Planning.

  2. Locate the goal or competency that you would like to edit and click on the downward facing carrot button.

  3. Select the option "edit" which will then take you into the goal where you can make your desired changes. This is where you change the weights, period, description, type, and many other things.

  4. Once you have finalized the edits, click the submit button.

 

Your supervisor will need to approve the new edits, please refer to steps to submit a goal for approval.

Delete or Cancel Goals

  1. Starting from the Cornerstone homepage, navigate to the Performance Planning page by clicking the tile or clicking the hamburger menu and selecting Performance Planning.

  2. Locate the goal or competency that you would like to delete and click on the downward facing carrot button.

  3. Select the option "cancel" which will then bring up a screen with a yes or no button, asking you whether or not you want to confirm this action.

  4. Once the goal is cancelled, it will be removed from your primary view and archived, however you can display any cancelled goals by checking the box titled "Display Cancelled" under the current period button.

 

Cornerstone has no provision for deleting goals completely. You can only cancel goals to remove them from your plan.

When canceling your own goals, it will require supervisor approval. The status will change to “Pending Cancellation Approval” until your supervisor approves. As an employee, to ensure the supervisor receives the request to cancel a goal, remember to click “Send Approval Request”. After the supervisor approves the cancellation, the goal will be removed from your plan.
