After logging into Salesforce, you will land on your Homepage. It is made up of several components:

...

  1. Global Search: This is the “Google Search” of Salesforce which searches any and all areas of the database.

  2. Personal Settings: You’ll rarely need to adjust your settings, but one common setting you can adjust here is your email signature line.

  3. NavBar: Similar to Bookmarks on your internet browser, these are quick ways to navigate and search the database.

  4. Homepage List View: This is the most prominent report displayed on the Homepage. Currently it is showing the “Team Queue / Unassigned Cases.”

    1. The columns displayed in the List view can be customized.

    2. To prevent this List view from being too long on the Homepage, it will only show a max of 30 cases/rows. You can click the “HRSC - Payroll: Team Queue” List View link which will take you to view all cases/rows in the Team Queue.

  5. Tasks Block: If utilizing Case “Tasks,” this will display Tasks assigned to you. You can toggle between “Today,” “My Tasks,” “My Overdue Tasks,” and other Tasks lists.

  6. Helpful Links: Links to other resources that may be helpful in your day-to-day work.

  7. Dashboard Block: This section compiles custom reports that we want displayed on the Homepage.

    1. This Dashboard Block does not refresh automatically, so to get the most up-to-date data, you need to click the “Refresh” button. If you click on any of the report links, though, you will get the most up-to-date data.

    2. Everything in this Dashboard Block is customizable (ie: reports; displayed fields; report type; etc).
